Beneteau OCEANIS 393 Clipper , "Ilumara"

The Essence: A Proven and Spacious Cruiser

The Beneteau Oceanis 393 Clipper, designed by the renowned Berret/Racoupeau, is known as a successful and much-loved cruiser. This 2001 yacht is the perfect combination of large interior volume, stability, and easy handling. The 393 was designed as a spacious and safe boat, ideal for extended holidays and coastal cruising. This specific vessel is being sold by the second owner due to age and is available immediately.

The hull construction, featuring a stiff internal structure, ensures a safe and predictable ride. Owners emphasize the excellent balance in the helm and the ease with which this yacht can be managed, even with a small crew.

Maintenance and Current Condition

The yacht is structurally sound and tidy. However, the hull and interior is in need of some cleaning and could benefit from a polish to restore it to its best visual condition. This is purely cosmetic; the boat has no structural issues.

Space and Comfort Onboard

This vessel features a popular and comfortable layout, characterized by generous headroom (approx. 205 cm / 6'8") and a classic, warm interior.

Accommodation: This is the highly sought-after 3-cabin version with two spacious aft cabins and a comfortable forward cabin (6 fixed berths).

Sanitary Facilities: There are two wet cells onboard, each equipped with a manual toilet and a shower. Additionally, there is a convenient deck shower on the transom (stern) of the vessel.

Galley & Comfort: The galley is a practical U-shape and is fully equipped with a 2-burner gas stove, oven, and a large refrigerator (180 liters). Fitted with a forced-air heating system for comfort in all seasons.

Technical Details and Key Equipment

This yacht is richly equipped with high-quality gear, though there are some points of attention in the navigation electronics:

Engine & Hours: Reliable Yanmar 4JH3E, 56 HP (Year 2001) with 1,658 engine hours.

Navigation – Points of Attention: The B&G Network instruments for log/speed and depth sounder are currently not functioning correctly. The wind indicator also needs to be repaired or replaced.

Navigation – Operational: B&G Autopilot, Raymarine C95 Chartplotter, JRC 1000 LCD Radar, AIS transmitter/receiver, and ICOM IC-M423 VHF radio are present and operational.

Sails & Winches: Complete sail wardrobe (Mainsail, Genoa, Jib, Storm Jib, and Gennaker). Equipped with one electric winch for easy hoisting and trimming, plus 3 manual winches.

Extras: Electric anchor windlass, sprayhood, cockpit cushions. Includes Zodiac Fastroller 240 dinghy with Honda 4 HP 4-stroke outboard engine. Features a 56 Watt solar panel.

This vessel represents an honest base for anyone looking to own a very complete and spacious cruiser with a limited investment in cosmetic work and repair of the navigation instruments.
