Hanse 371 Performance
The Hanse 371 is a performance cruiser designed by Judel/Vrolijk & Co., combining excellent sailing characteristics with a remarkably spacious and practical interior. This example features a dark blue hull and white deck and is equipped with the deep 1.98 m keel. With an overall length of 11.25 m, a beam of 3.59 m and a displacement of approximately 6,900 kg, the Hanse 371 offers an attractive combination of performance, stability and comfort.
The yacht was built by Hanse in Greifswald. The HIN DE-YZG37086B202 indicates production in February 2002. The hull and deck are constructed in GRP sandwich. The deep performance keel has approximately 2,470 kg of ballast. The fractional 9/10 rig with two sets of spreaders and the extensive sail inventory underline the performance-oriented character of this model.
Sails and deck equipment
The yacht comes with an extensive inventory of seven sails. There are two mainsails: a Baltic Dacron mainsail from 2015 and a Gransegel laminate mainsail from 2021. In addition, there is a laminate genoa from 2018, two self-tacking jibs – a Baltic Dacron jib from 2015 and a Gransegel laminate jib from 2021 – an original orange Hanse storm jib and a gennaker from 2015. A Code 0 with Furlex is also included.
The official total sail area of the Hanse 371 is approximately 83.3 m² with genoa. The yacht is equipped with a Seldén bowsprit/gennaker pole, furling headsail system and four self-tailing winches. The standing rigging was replaced in 2015. In August 2026, the rigging was inspected again by Rigging Service in Breskens and a new mainsail halyard was fitted.
The cockpit is finished in teak and equipped with cockpit cushions and a cockpit table. Further deck equipment includes a grey sprayhood from 2015, bathing ladder, guardrails, pulpit and pushpit, fenders and mooring lines. A flexible solar panel of approximately 50 W is mounted on the coachroof.
Navigation and electronics
The yacht has been substantially upgraded in terms of navigation equipment. An important part of the B&G navigation electronics was renewed in 2024.
At the helm is a large B&G Zeus S chartplotter, complemented by a B&G multifunction display providing wind, depth and speed information. The autopilot is a Robertson/Simrad AP22, while a Whitlock compass is positioned centrally in front of the steering wheel.
AIS is provided by a Simrad AI50 Class B AIS transceiver. Communication equipment includes a fixed B&G DSC VHF radio, a B&G handset and a portable Cobra VHF. A NASA Marine Target Navtex Pro-Plus is also installed.
Engine and technical equipment
The yacht is powered by a Volvo Penta MD2030, a three-cylinder 29 hp diesel engine coupled to a saildrive and a three-bladed folding propeller. The engine has approximately 3,600 running hours and features indirect cooling via a heat exchanger. The standard alternator has a rated output of 60 A and the diesel tank has a capacity of approximately 80 litres.
The electrical installation includes three batteries: two Varta Professional Dual Purpose AGM 95 Ah service batteries and a separate Vetus 70 Ah starter battery, providing a total nominal battery capacity of 260 Ah. Shore power charging is handled by a Victron Energy Phoenix 12/30 battery charger. Both 12 V and 230 V systems are available on board.
Interior
Below deck, the Hanse 371 offers an impressive amount of living space for a yacht of 11.25 metres. The interior is finished in high-gloss wood veneer combined with light-coloured wall and ceiling panels and blue upholstery.
The saloon features a large U-shaped seating area to starboard around the saloon table. To port is a second seating area together with the navigation station and electrical switch panel. Numerous portlights and a large deck hatch provide plenty of natural light.
This version features two separate cabins and four fixed berths. Both the forward and aft cabins are fitted with a double berth and storage space.
Galley and sanitary facilities
The galley is practically arranged with a generous worktop, two round stainless-steel sinks, hot and cold running water and ample storage space. It is equipped with a gimballed two-burner gas cooker with oven and a built-in 12 V top-loading refrigerator of approximately 100 litres.
Fresh water capacity is approximately 240 litres. Hot water is supplied by a 20-litre boiler, which can be heated electrically as well as through the engine cooling circuit.
The heads compartment is equipped with a manual Jabsco marine toilet, washbasin and storage cupboards. A separate shower area is also provided. The holding tank has a stated capacity of approximately 60 litres. A Webasto warm-air heating system provides additional comfort during colder periods.
Safety and maintenance
Safety equipment includes a GME Accusat EPIRB, liferaft, MOB equipment, lifebuoy, active radar reflector, distress signals and both electric and manual bilge pumps.
Several important maintenance works have also been carried out over the years. The underwater hull received a complete treatment in 2018. In 2026, the underwater hull was prepared and two new coats of antifouling were applied. As mentioned above, the rigging was professionally inspected again in August 2026.
